IPP Students’ Social – March 2013
The Students’ Social on March 22, 2013 was hosted by the Nigerian High Commission. His Excellency High Commissioner Olatokunboh Kamson addressed the students and IPP members, as well as IPP Vice President Vered Maoz, Education Committee representative Norma Anderson, and Guest Speaker Denise Adams, a former IPP recipient who today is a Community Action Officer with the Citizen Security and Justice Program (CSJP). The students contributed some entertainment and a vote of thanks. Lisa Gordon organized a quiz on world trivia knowledge, and we ended with refreshments courtesy of the High Commission and IPP members.
IPP Students’ Social – March 2012
On Friday, March 23, 2012, IPP hosted the sponsored students at the Residence of the Japanese Ambassador to Jamaica. These excelling but needy students were treated to a talk by the ambassador, to some music by Flauto Dolce Kingston – recorder group – and to a nice lunch/dinner. Symone Thomas gave an inspirational talk and sang. The students themselves performed their own writings and sang too. It was a beautiful afternoon.
