International Proxy Parents Wine & Cheese Fundraiser – September 2016
The International Proxy Parents (IPP), in association with the Embassy of Chile, hosted a Wine and Cheese Soiree at the Embassy’s Millsborough Close Residence of His Excellency Ambassador Eduardo Banilloa in support of the ongoing efforts of the IPP to raise funds for scholarships for bright, but financially challenged students across Jamaica.
Birthday celebrations of Joy McHugh – January 2014
The IPP ladies celebrate the birthday of Joy McHugh. Joy is an ex-President and continues to work hard for IPP.
December meeting – December 2013
The December meeting was held at the Pegasus Hotel. Representatives from those Embassy’s who took part in the Bazaar presented their cheques to the President and the Board.
Day at the Zoo!! – May 2013
On Saturday, 18th May 2013 more than 20 IPP Members took our children to Kingston’s Hope Zoo. They had a wonderful time seeing Parrots from South America, turtles, ostriches and crocodiles. Kind and helpful guides escorted us through the zoo explaining and helping the children along the way. Lunch followed- with yummy chicken and bread rolls. Lots of drinks and the children left in their buses exhausted from such an energetic day!! IPP members also went home exhausted but satisfied with another happy day for the children.
IPP Day Out!! Somerset Falls!! – May 2013
Over 20 of the IPP ladies set off for a real adventure……….Somerset Falls, boats ride into the caves and waterfalls followed by a river raft trip. Lunch was wonderful and the company “the best”

Theatre Evening: Alice – The Musical – January 2013
We held our traditional Theatre Evening for the children from the homes on January 12, 2013 at 4pm. Children from six homes were invited, four from Kingston and two from Mandeville. The groups arrived one by one and were treated to patties, sandwiches, snacks and drinks. The show was fantastic as usual with the Junior Theatre, and we all had a great time.
IPP’s Children Beach Treat – December 2012
On 12/12/12 we invited children from 5 homes to a fun day on the beach of Fort Clarence. They enjoyed swimming, games and yummy food and had a great time.
Project Nana Jewellery Exhibition and Sale – September 2012
Project Nana jewellery exhibition and sale took place on Saturday, September 8th 2012 at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Hiroshi Yamaguchi and his wife Yoko Yamaguchi, who is spearheading Project Nana – beautifully hand-made rings, earrings, and necklaces, created by a group of Jamaican and international ladies, who come together every Saturday, to work together at the Residence. Project Nana has been set up to raise funds for the International Proxy Parents. Thank you Yoko and all the ladies who work with her! Today was a very successful show and sale!!! And thanks to Carmelle Saldinger for taking these photos.
