HANDING OVER OF IPP BAZAAR 2018 PROCEEDS AND SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS FOR 2019

On Wednesday December 5th 2019, IPP held a brief handing over ceremony at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

The occasion was to mark receiving the proceeds from the Bazaar held on November 10, 2019 in the Gardens of the Pegasus and the handing over of $1,497,662 to the 2019 scholarship awardees as well as contributions to state homes, represented by Mr Winston Bowen, Manager of the Maxfield Park Children’s Home. The event was attended by The Honourable Ruel Reid Minister of Education and several members of the Diplomatic Community to include
Her Excellency Mrs Janet Olisa – High Commissioner of Nigeria to Jamaica.
Mrs Louisa Gutierez Picón – Chargé de Affaires of Venezuela.
Mr Nick Astbury – Deputy High Commissioner of the United Kingdom.
Ms Kysha-Lee Wheeler Trade & Investment Officer British High Commission
Miss Vasilisa Zhavoronka – Secretary to the Russian Ambassador.
Mr Winston Bayley – Honorary Consul of Barbados to Jamaica.
Mrs Ufuoma Ofiabodhe – Cultural Officer of the Nigerian High Commission.

Mrs Prudence Simpson Director of Sales – Jamaica Pegasus Hotel represented the hotel, major sponsors of the 2018 Bazaar. Other guests included student representatives from the Culinary Club of St Andrew High School for Girls who were themselves sponsors of the Bazaar as well as scholarship awardees from several schools that are supported by IPP.
