Jamaica’s popular International Bazaar, organized by the International Proxy Parents (IPP), returns to The Gardens of the Pegasus Hotel on Saturday November 5, 2016 from 10.00 am– 4.00 pm.

Jamaicans and their families will be able to sample lots of  international dishes, buy products, see colourful  traditional costumes and enjoy a fun day of music and dance from countries such as Russia, China, Mexico, Japan, Nigeria, France, Chile, Jamaica, Barbados and the United Kingdom. Children can enjoy face painting in the Children’s Corner and have their IPP “passports” stamped at the different country booths as keepsakes.

There will be the Big Raffle and lots of entertainment with MC Heather Grant introducing performers like Seretse Small, Charmaine Lemonious, Dancers, Gymnasts, Singers, High School Choirs and Drummers. A special guest appearance by The Stella Maris Steel Band will also bring a lively carnival atmosphere to the day.

The Annual International Bazaar is IPP’s major source of funding and allows the charity to continue its mission of “giving assistance to the less fortunate children in our society”.  Last year IPP provided scholarships worth more than $1.5mil. to 45 bright but needy high school students across Jamaica as well as assistance to children who are Wards of the State and reside in Children’s Homes and Places of Safety.  IPP Members are Caribbean nationals, expatriates and persons from diplomatic missions who volunteer their services.
